About Us
Research in our lab deals with environmental issues linking terrestrial/aquatic settings and the atmosphere, especially the movement of water and greenhouse gases. We typically conduct field experiments at different sites across the globe and use various sensors to obtain data that helps build better versions of our models. Using open-source electronic boards, loggers and sensors we aim to improve our understanding of both natural and anthropogenic processes. For example, how do different wind speeds affect the circulation of air in soil or the greenhouse gasses emitted from abandoned wells. We develop innovative systems for measuring environmental parameters, such as temperature and CO levels. We have a wide range of collaborators in this field, from academic laboratories to high school robotics teams.
